One remote control... Your PC!

This program was part of my dissertation at National Technical University of Athens, in order to get my diploma. It is coming along with the device Universal IR Transmitter, which can build by your own.
With few words this program is capable on simulating almost any IR remote remote control for video or audio devices, you can find in the market. With it you have the ability to create your own button codes, depending on the infrared protocol each manufacturer uses. Moreover you can copy the code of a remote control button, which are using protocols unknown to you.

Notes

You start by creating one or more buttons to the special area of the program's main window and then you simple relate, to each button, the code which the device will transmit. In this way it is possible to control more than one functions of the electronic device you are trying to control (e.g. television, video, stereo etc).
You can find a detailed manual for the program in the article Universal IR Transmitter - The program (in Greek language).

My dissertation (from which all the above coming from) has the title "Remote controlling audio and video devices with infrared from a laptop" and you can download the PowerPoint presentation: DiplomaPresentation.zip
